Nasira Nayer has been a performer for over 20 years gracing the stage with her unique fusion and traditional performance of bellydance. Her passion for this dance began at the age of 8 and she continues to be an active learner by taking instructional workshops with world renowned Turkish, Lebanese, and Egyptian Cabaret performers as well as Tribal Fusion and folkloric Indian dance.
Nasira Nayer holds a B.S. and M.Ed in Education; this allows her to provide an instructional setting that is adaptable to all levels of learning of technique as well as a fun and memorable experience for her students. In addition to instruction, she also enjoys the creative process of choreography. Recently, she had the opportunity to work with a community theater production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum providing consulting work for the role of “Tintinabula.” She has been a guest instructor at many international festivals and local college campuses: University of South Florida and University of Tampa.
